Psi Hoops does not provide voltage converters for countries outside of the USA. You will have to get a converter to change the current from you local voltage to 120...and then that connects to the charger that is provided with the hoop. I can get a voltage converter here and send it with your hoop if you like, email me and I will let you know a price, should be around $10 -$15.

The advantage of AAs is that they have more power and so light the hoop for longer before you need to charge it, The advantage of AAAs is that they are lighter and thinner.

I can use either AA or AAA rechargeable batteries in the hoop, they are arranged symmetrically inside the hoop to preserve balance and spin... the hoop is charged through a charging port like a cell phone or laptop or ipod etc. You don’t take the batteries out.

the thin PP tubing, especially at that size spins a bit better in my opinion (more balanced) and weighs a couple ounces less with the AAA batteries than with the AAs....I think the hoop performs emuch better with the AAAs especially for off-body moves. Battery size is most important in small hoops that use thin tubing, ie in sizes below 36 and with the 3/4" OD tubing or thinner. The larger the hoop the less important the weight of the batteries.

also when you use that tubing in the cold weather with AA batteries, those batteries are so tight in the tube, that the tubing has cracked in a couple of hoops....the tubing shrinks in the cold and puts pressure on the batteries and then if the hoop is used with extreme style reversals or hits the floor hard etc, it can crack....The AAA batteries are thinner and dont cause this problem. However the total lit time of the hoop for AAA batteries is around 1 hour or more (depending on number and type of LEDs. For AA batteries its around 4 hours. If you use the hoops for performance the AAAs are the way to go, because the total lit time will carry you through an evening, but if you want to take the hoops to a dance/rave/festival etc and use them all night then you will have to go with the AAs. The AAAs will actually light a hoop with 15 of the new strobing 3D LEDs for over 3 hours, so that is a great option for a thinner lightweight hoop in the PP tubing.

Once the batteries start to run down the lights get dimmer and redder and will stay that way for an hour or so usually, so you have some warning of the hoop going dead. Then you will need to recharge the hoop for several hours - 8 hours for a full charge. If the hoop doesn’t seem to last for the expected time on an 8 hour charge, try it for 12 hours or so. Just don’t leave it charging for days at a time.

Purchase our Battery Charger for replacement or extra. (All psihoop orders do already contain chargers)
